A PUF-based and cloud-assisted lightweight authentication for multi-hop body area network

Wireless sensor technology plays an important role in the military, medical, and commercial fields nowadays. Body Area Network (WBAN) is a special application of wireless network human health monitoring, through which patients can know their physical condition real time respond to emergencies on time. Data reliability, guaranteed by trust nodes WBAN, prerequisite for effective treatment patients. Therefore, authenticating sink WBAN necessary. This paper proposes lightweight Physical Unclonable Function (PUF)-based cloud-assisted authentication mechanism multi-hop body area networks, compared with star single-hop network, enhance adaptability motion integrity data transmission. Such significantly reduce storage overhead resource loss transmission process.
